Caryssa Nikal works for Kyah Wiget Education Society's Early Years Department as the Indigenous Early Years Liaison Worker in the Family Services Centre. The role of an Early Years Liaison is to identify and assess families of children ages 0 - 6 years old and connect them to existing programs and services, assist families with parenting skill building, offering nutritional supports, and transportation for families that have no access to a vehicle.

The goal is to build strong and trusting relationships with families, promote healthy child development, and enhance inclusion and equity through collaborations with community departments and external agencies and committing to ongoing learning and reflection.
